Classes resume at universities blocked for months

The academic year began today at Serbian universities that had been closed for months by student blockades: teaching resumed at the University of Belgrade, in Novi Sad and at other institutions. Some departments promise to make up the programme with extra classes, while student organisations say protest activity will continue outside lecture halls. The academic year was pushed back by almost three months.
