Residence permit applications move online

Serbia's temporary residence procedure changed noticeably this year: applications and part of the documents are now submitted electronically, and booking a slot at the police station is a thing of the past. Filing is simpler, but the requirements for certified translations and proof of address remain strict — those are the most common reasons cases get sent back. Lawyers advise checking the document set twice as carefully as before.
