The session of the Belgrade City Assembly, whose agenda included the opposition's motion to dismiss Mayor Aleksandar Šapić, was postponed because there was no quorum. Forty-seven councillors registered, and the session will continue on 23 November at 10 am. The dismissal motion was the only item on the agenda. Assembly Speaker Nikola Nikodijević scheduled the session after the Kreni-promeni movement filed a request on 7 October for an extraordinary session over an incident between Šapić and Tatjana Mićić, a councillor of that movement. The request was signed by 41 councillors, including 21 from the movement and representatives of the Green-Left Front, the Movement of Free Citizens, the Democratic Party, the People's Movement of Serbia, New Face of Serbia, the MI movement and the Ecological Uprising. Mićić said Šapić physically attacked her on 28 September; he denies this and has asked the competent authorities to establish what happened.
