The Serbian government has extended the regulation capping the maximum retail prices of oil derivatives until 31 December 2026. The previous term was 60 days from the day it took effect.

Eurodiesel sells for 236 dinars a litre and BMB 95 petrol for 207 dinars. At the same session the government extended the cut in fuel excise duty, which runs until 25 October.

The decision is explained by the need to prevent major market disturbances and protect living standards.
