Work on three bag dams on the Nišava began in Niš today. The start was attended by the director of Srbijavode, Goran Puzović, and the mayor of Niš, Dragoslav Pavlović.
The dams are being built at kilometres 13+590, 14+099.5 and 14+755. All three follow the same technical design and have identical dimensions, adapted to the existing regulated riverbed in the city area.
According to Srbijavode, the works will improve conditions in the riverbed, especially during low water, preserve its stability and create conditions for recreational facilities along the river.
