Demand for wood pellets is exceptionally high this year and domestic factories are reporting record output, Professor Branko Glavonjić of the Faculty of Forestry said today. Prices at most depots range from 42,000 to 48,000 dinars per tonne.
He said market supply is good: more than 90 percent of retail outlets have sufficient stock and deliveries to customers are regular.
For households heating with pellets this means there is no need to rush, but prices are worth comparing across depots, as the gap between the low and high end reaches 6,000 dinars per tonne.
