Late autumn is the busiest concert season in Serbia: festivals, big solo evenings and tours by foreign bands run almost nightly. Here is what is worth noting in October and November.

October

The month's main event is BEMUS, the 58th classical music festival, running from 17 to 30 October. The main venue is the Kolarac Foundation at Studentski trg 5, with some concerts at the National Theatre and in Studio 6; concerts begin at 20:00, tickets cost from 1,000 to 3,000 dinars, and the Studio 6 concert is free. At the same time, from 21 to 24 October, Dom omladine hosts the 42nd Belgrade Jazz Festival: 13 concerts by international artists and a closing jam session.

Among the solo evenings: on 15 October Petar Grašo plays Sava Centar; on 17 October the Nova Zappa Barka club hosts the Monsters of Metal tribute with Metallica and Iron Maiden hits (tickets from 1,200 dinars); on 21 October Zvonko Bogdan sings at Sava Centar (from 2,500); on 23 October Katarina Grujić plays mts dvorana (from 2,800).

November

On 3 and 4 November Aca Lukas gives two concerts at the Belgrade Arena (from 1,700 dinars); on 4 November Goca Tržan plays Sava Centar (from 2,500), and on 6 November Yasmin Levy appears there too (from 4,000). On 10 November there are two big evenings at once: Uriah Heep's farewell tour 'The Magician's Farewell' at Sava Centar (from 4,000) and Los Vivancos at mts dvorana (from 4,700). On 12 November Sava Centar hosts Halid Muslimović (from 2,500); on 19 November Mira Škorić marks 40 years of her career (from 2,000); on 22 November comes Emina Jahović (from 2,500); and on 25 November Rock Simphony.

Where to buy tickets

Most tickets are sold online and at box offices. One important point about Sava Centar: the hall itself is not the organiser and does not sell tickets — it lists only the authorised providers Ticket Vision and Efinity. The prices in these listings are the minimum: that is the cost of the cheapest seats, rising by row and sector.

What to keep in mind

At festivals the programme is laid out by day, so choose the evening first and the ticket second. At the arena and in large halls allow time for entry and exit, and at club shows for the queue before the start. And above all: tickets for popular evenings go in advance, so the earlier you decide, the better your choice of seats.
